Front Office Position (PT) (posted 6/29/18): Seeking hourly assistance in the front office beginning August 1 and will be an afternoon shift. Prior knowledge of office procedures is helpful. Candidates must demonstrate an enduring love of youth, love of teaching, and love of the Restored Gospel, and be willing and able to uphold the AHS MissionHonor Code, and Diversity Statement on and off campus. AHS Online 9-12 Grader (PT/Hourly) (posted 6/28/18). American Heritage School’s worldwide outreach for grades 9-12, AHS Online, is hiring a new coursework grader for all 9-12 online accredited students. AHS Online Graders must feel comfortable reviewing High School level writing and work for history, literature, and geography, as well as various electives including computer and financial literacy, writing, and principles of leadership, among others. Applicant must have a genuine desire to help students succeed, be organized and responsive, give helpful feedback, and maintain an appropriate balance of empathy, patience, and firmness. Applicant should also be capable of utilizing online software and tools to post grades, send written and video feedback, and communicate with students. Ballroom Instructor (PT) (posted 5/29/2018) Minimum two-years’ experience teaching ballroom dance. Classes offered will include beginning to intermediate level for grades 9-12. Bachelors degree or higher preferred. Must have an enduring love of youth, love of teaching, and love of the Restored Gospel. Competitive compensation based upon experience. On-Call Front Office Position (PT) (posted 5/2/18): Seeking hourly assistance in the front office. This is not a regular schedule. The need is to cover sick or PTO days for front office staff, help on teacher In-service days, summer & holiday office hours and days when multiple major events are occurring. Prior knowledge of office procedures is helpful. JV Boys Basketball Coach (PT) (posted 3/29/2018): Minimum two-years’ experience, preferably in a formal middle or high school P.E. teaching/coaching setting, bachelor’s degree preferred. Must have an enduring love of youth, love of teaching and love of the Restored Gospel. Competitive hourly rate based upon experience. Position for 2018-19 season. Head Tennis Coach (PT) (posted 3/12/2018): Previous coaching in competitive tennis preferred. The development of character is equal to technical development. Must have an enduring love of youth, love of teaching and love of the Restored Gospel. Competitive hourly rate based upon experience. Position for 2018-19 season. Full-time Custodial (posted 2/21/2018). Seeking hourly custodial help to fill evening shifts. Multiple shifts available. Competitive hourly wage. Tutor (PT/hourly) (posted 12/7/2017). Tutoring will occur on campus. Two-years’ experience, bachelor’s degree or higher preferred. Candidates must demonstrate an enduring love of youth, love of teaching, love of the Restored Gospel, and be willing and able to uphold the AHS Mission, Honor Code (K-6, 7-12), and Diversity Statement on and off campus. Spalding Tutor (PT/hourly) (posted 9/26/2017). Certified Spalding instructor with a minimum of two-years’ experience, preferably in lower elementary, bachelor’s degree or higher preferred. Candidates must demonstrate an enduring love of youth, love of teaching, love of the Restored Gospel, and be willing and able to uphold the AHS Mission, Honor Code (K-6, 7-12), and Diversity Statement on and off campus. Substitute Teacher (PT/Hourly) Preferable experience in formal school setting. Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred. Candidates must demonstrate an enduring love of youth, love of teaching, and love of the Restored Gospel, and be willing and able to uphold the AHS Mission, Honor Code, and Diversity Statement on and off campus. Competitive salary. This position is an on-call position. We accept applications for substitute teachers throughout the year.

Open Teaching Positions (K-3, 4-6, 7-12, FT and PT) are posted as they become available. Applications, including cover letter and resume, are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year and may be submitted prior to open positions being announced. If you are interested in teaching at AHS apply early (January-April is ideal for upcoming fall)—even if you do not see an opening.
