1st Grade Teacher’s Aide (Hourly/PT) Posted 9/4/2018: Assist teachers with classroom management, grading, teaching, and general teacher and student support. Bachelor’s degree and experience teaching in school settings are preferred, but not required. Candidates must demonstrate an enduring love of youth, love of teaching, and love of the Restored Gospel, and be willing and able to uphold the AHS Mission, AHS Honor Code, and Diversity Statement on and off campus. Position available immediately and open until filled.

Full-Stack Developer (posted 8/28/18): The American Heritage Worldwide outreach is looking for full-time, or a combination of part-time or intern development to extend and maintain our curriculum membership site on FamilySchoolOnline.org. The site is built with AngularJS, Bootstrap, PHP (Slim framework), and MySQL. Technology stack includes for Backend (RESTful API)—PHP (Slim framework a plus) and SQL (MySQL). Frontend (SPA) technology stack includes JavaScript (AngularJS, jQuery a major plus), HTML/CSS, Bootstrap, jQuery is a minor plus, but AngularJS is a big plus for this project. Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and time commitment. Graphic Designer (posted 8/28/18): The American Heritage Worldwide outreach is hiring a P/T graphic designer with experience with Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, at minimum. Ultimate Frisbee Coach (PT/hourly) (posted 8/27/2018): Two-years’ coaching experience preferably in middle or high school setting. Must have an enduring love of youth, love of teaching, and love of the Restored Gospel. Competitive hourly rate based upon experience. Position for fall season of the 2018-19 school year. Tutor (PT/hourly) (posted 12/7/2017): Tutoring will occur on campus. Two-years’ experience, bachelor’s degree or higher preferred. Candidates must demonstrate an enduring love of youth, love of teaching, love of the Restored Gospel, and be willing and able to uphold the AHS Mission, Honor Code (K-6, 7-12), and Diversity Statement on and off campus. Spalding Tutor (PT/hourly): Certified Spalding instructor with a minimum of two-years’ experience, preferably in lower elementary, bachelor’s degree or higher preferred. Candidates must demonstrate an enduring love of youth, love of teaching, love of the Restored Gospel, and be willing and able to uphold the AHS Mission, Honor Code (K-6, 7-12), and Diversity Statement on and off campus. Substitute Teacher (PT/Hourly): Preferable experience in formal school setting. Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred. Candidates must demonstrate an enduring love of youth, love of teaching, and love of the Restored Gospel, and be willing and able to uphold the AHS Mission, Honor Code, and Diversity Statement on and off campus. Competitive salary. This position is an on-call position. We accept applications for substitute teachers throughout the year.

Open Teaching Positions (K-3, 4-6, 7-12, FT and PT) are posted as they become available. Applications, including cover letter and resume, are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year and may be submitted prior to open positions being announced. If you are interested in teaching at AHS apply early (January-April is ideal for upcoming fall)—even if you do not see an opening.
