Martinez, Gerardo
Gerardo Martinez is thrilled to be part of the American Heritage Schools team as a Spanish teacher. He was born in Puebla, Mexico and raised in Mexico City. This year will be his twelfth year as an educator. He had the opportunity to study at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Linguistics with a minor in Computers in the Humanities. In addition, he was a scholarship recipient and attended Southern Methodist University, from which he received a Master’s in Bilingual Education with and emphasis in Gifted and Talented. More recently, he graduated from the University of North Texas at Dallas, from which he received a master’s degree in Educational Administration. He loves language, learning and have strong interest in how software can help the learning process. When he is not at work, he enjoys his family, a good nonfiction book, playing tennis and listening to music. His goal as an educator is to help students gain a vision that goes beyond the classroom.
