Debbie Smith Allen was born in Provo and raised in American Fork, Utah. She is the eldest of seven children. She studied organ and graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music. During her time at BYU she was involved in accompanying choirs and congregations at devotionals, and performing at the Tabernacle in Salt Lake City. She has taught private piano and organ, and She received her first year Kodaly Certification from the InterMuse Kodaly Certification program at BYU. Debbie loves family, traveling, reading, hiking, and children. She is excited to be at American Heritage School. She and her husband Doug have lived in Japan and Thailand, and currently live in Alpine. They are the parents of 4 sons.
