Spelling Bee 2014-2015
- It’s time to start preparing for the all-school Spelling Bee (for 2nd through 8th grades). AHS class spelling bees are scheduled and held by each individual teacher in his/her classroom. The 1st and 2nd place classroom bee winners advance to the next level of competition with the 3rd place winner preparing to act as an alternate if needed.
- The Junior Spelling Bee will be held on Wednesday, October 22 at 1:00 p.m. for 2nd and 3rd grades. The winner of the Junior Spelling Bee will compete in the Senior Spelling Bee to be held on Thursday, October 23 at 1:00 p.m.
- The 1st place winner from the Senior Bee will advance to a regional competition.
- This year, the Scripps National Spelling Bee has asked that we not place spelling lists on our website. Instead, your child's teacher will provide you with the practice lists.
- If you have any questions regarding the upcoming Spelling Bee’s, please contact your child’s teacher, Mrs. Charne Adams – Elementary Assistant Principal, or Mrs. Nancy Morrill – Kindergarten Teacher. Thank you in advance for making this year’s Spelling Bee the best yet.
