Sackett, Cory
Cory Sackett, Seminary Principal. Cory Sackett born and raised in Brigham City, Utah served a mission in the Philippines then attended Weber State and Brigham Young University. He received his BA in Communications and his Masters (plus 60 hours) in Broadcasting and Evaluation of Media Products TV and Film. Cory taught gymnastics at a private school after his mission and has now taught in the Church Educational System for over 34 years teaching at Timpview, MountainView, and Orem High School Seminaries. He also taught 21 years at Utah Valley University Orem Institute and two years in the Ancient Religion Department at BYU. Cory has been active in music, theater, and sports. He coached three state teams to Nationals in soccer placing 3rd place and then 2nd place twice. (The old man’s bragging rights over his children was he played striker for an over 30 National soccer team in 2006 in Anaheim and they won first place.) His is married to Deborah Brunner, from Salt Lake City, and they have five children and 9 grandchildren. Brother Sackett looks forward to now working with the students, teachers, and staff at American Heritage School as the new seminary principal.
