Rob Swenson holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in music education from Brigham Young University. Prior to his graduation, Rob taught choir at Liahona High School in Tonga, where he served an LDS mission. He has taught choral music at American Leadership Academy in Spanish Fork, Timpanogos Academy in Lindon, and directed ensembles with the Utah Valley Children’s Choir. In 2007, he founded the Timpanogos Youth Chorus – which is now the American Heritage Youth Chorus. Under his direction, the Youth Chorus has grown to over 150+ members and shared inspirational firesides for LDS stakes all over the United States. He also designed an online AP Music Theory course which has been taken by students around country. When he’s not teaching, he enjoys composing/arranging music -- especially new settings of sacred choral music. Mr. Swenson absolutely LOVES American Heritage School and is grateful for the blessings that it has brought to him and his family.
