Assistant Principal, K-6 (FT) (posted 2/14/14): The position of Assistant Principal requires a Christian attitude of serving faculty, parents and students – often at early or late hours or other personally inconvenient times. Assistant Principal is expected to maintain a standard of excellence in modeling the school’s mission, curriculum, and policies. Assistant Principal must be an effective listener, communicator (written and oral), and have the ability to balance compassion and firmness in conflict management and disciplinary situations. Assistant Principal will be responsible for planning and conducting faculty in-service, parent meetings, classroom instruction, teacher evaluation, administrative and board level committee meetings, and various school events requiring significant time and energy, among other responsibilities. This position is for the 2014-15 school year and is open until filled.

Admissions & Development Manager (FT) (posted 3/4/14): The Admissions & Development Manager is a full time position reporting to the Admissions Director and the Head of School. Working in close collaboration with the Head of School and Board of Trustees on strategy, and an enthusiastic group of faculty and parent volunteers on execution, the Admissions & Development Manager must have a deep commitment to the mission of American Heritage School. He or she will plan and oversee admissions, development, marketing, and community outreach activities as set forth in the following Position Profile for Admissions & Development Manager. He or she will have daily interaction with staff, faculty, students, parents and administrators in a busy school office, and attend American Heritage School functions outside the school day as required. This position is for the 2014-15 school year and is open until filled.

Grades 7-12 Math Teacher (FT) (posted 2/14/14): Minimum two-years’ experience, preferably in a formal middle or high school setting teaching Math. Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred. Experience teaching Saxon Math preferred, but will train. Must demonstrate an enduring love of youth, love of teaching, and love of the Restored Gospel. This position is for the 2014-15 school year and is open until filled.

Lyceum Orchestras Program Manager/Publicist (PT) (posted 3/3/14) Minimum two years experience in management/administration or marketing/publicity. Excellent communication skills and an understanding of extracurricular program logistics including skills in Event Planning, WordPress, Social Media, Marketing, and Music Library. Must be supportive of American Heritage School’s LDS-oriented mission. Position is open until filled.

Custodial Professional (PT): Minimum two-years’ experience in custodial, facilities maintenance, or related field. Typical duties include cleaning, performing building maintenance, inspecting building and grounds to identify safety and security concerns, providing facilities and security support for after-school events, and other responsibilities as necessary. Must be supportive of American Heritage School’s LDS-oriented mission. This position is for the 2013-14 school year and is open until filled.

Open Teaching Positions (K-3, 4-6, 7-12, FT and PT) are posted as they become available.
